You probably know that our 100% apple juices are sinfully good. If you don’t, we recommend you check it out for yourself. But do you know how they’re actually made? Our HELLO apple juices would be referred to abroad as NFC, meaning not from concentrate. That’s true, but we’re in the Czech Republic, so we prefer to call it freshly squeezed apple juice. But the apples go quite a long way before you can enjoy the juice. Join us on the journey today…
How it all begins
The apples have to ripen first. It is impossible to say exactly when the right time is – it depends a lot on the weather and other factors. However, we usually prune the trees between September and December. That’s when the apples go into the factory. First, we carefully check their quality and basically separate the grain from the husks. This ensures that only fruit that is ripe enough and, above all, in good condition makes it into your juice. Right after that, we give the apples a little cleaning in an apple washer – it works similarly to a dishwasher. Only without detergent and high temperatures – we wash the fruit with high pressure water.

One straight juice, please!
After a thorough washing, it’s time for the crusher. It sounds scary, but this machine turns classic apples as you know them into apple pulp. This is then pressed out by our modern presses and the first product is created that already resembles your juice. We call it straight juice, and you’d know it by its natural haze. The juice is then gently strained, coarsely filtered and filled into cartons. Coarse so that you don’t have chunks floating around in the juice and you don’t lose any of the healthy elements.
Cloudy is good
Were you surprised after pouring that our 100% HELLO apple juice is not completely clear? It’s not a defect, but rather an advantage. In fact, recent Polish research has shown that cloudy juices have a much higher proportion of antioxidants. In addition, our apple juice is naturally full of fibre and acids, thanks to which it will drive away thirst as well as provide energy. And in the case of fruit and fruit juices, it really is what’s in the house that counts. The human body digests fruit that is “home-grown” much better, i.e. apples, pears, apricots, etc., which is why honest Czech apple juice belongs on the Czech table. Maybe ours, from Nivnice.
